Creating your own dreamy pastel bathroom

Creating your own dreamy pastel bathroom

With ‘illuminating’ yellow as one of Pantone’s colours of the year for 2021, along with the retro colour palettes of the chic Miami art deco trend taking the blogs by storm, it’s no wonder cheery pastel colours are on the rise in everything from clothing to home décor. We think the bathroom is the perfect place to put this trend into action, creating a bright and playful space that makes you smile every time you enter it. Follow our easy guide on how to get the look in your bathroom.

Tonal Tiles

If you really want to make an impact with your pastel bathroom, it’s easy with a simple, statement tile. Opt for plain coloured minty green, powdery blue or cotton candy tiles that create a bright and refreshing look without overwhelming the space. Tiles can be used across the whole room at half height for a cohesive look, or just around the shower to make a real focal point in the space.

Something subtle

For a more subtle nod to the pastel colour trend, opt for small pops of colour here and there throughout the space to help bring it to life. Simple changes like swapping out your towels for pink or yellow can help liven up a predominantly white space. Or if you’re up for a little DIY, why not try painting a single, statement piece in the bathroom like the sides of your bathtub or back of the door?

Take it Head to Toe

Go all out on a dreamy pastel bathroom by creating a top to bottom tonal look. Start by choosing a bold, coloured tile for your walls and floor. Next, select classic chrome brassware that reflects the light and subtly blends in to its surroundings. And finally, complete the look with a matching-coloured basin like our Alto unit. Available in all your favourite colours including sweet Dusky Pink and soft Willow, Alto is a space saving unit that makes it easy to get the pastel look in even the smallest of bathrooms.
